Aprilia GPR250R Launched in China

The Aprilia GPR250R was launched in China recently. This uprated model will be made available to various world markets in the near future.

It was unveiled during the Xi’an Auto Expo and became the star of the show immediately. Its styling bears close resemblance to Aprilia’s RS sportbike family such as the RS 660, Tuono V4 and RSV4 – complete with triple headlamps, small fuel tank, tall seat, and sharp rear seat section.

The GPR250R is powered by a liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 26 hp. While that power looks paltry on paper, it is right there among other motorcycles of the same category such as the Honda CBR250R, Kawasaki Ninja 250SL, et al.

However, Aprilia makes up for it in terms of other features and the GPR250R is the best equipped of all: LED lighting all-around, colour TFT screen, 41 mm upside-down forks, 310 mm front brake disc, among others.

It currently sells at CNY 26,800 in China, which equals RM 17,411.81.
